Now we have five indoor cats and five outside cats. So far, we made it through the winter without losing any to coyotes! Yipee!!!

That's great news, that everyone survived the winter!
My limit is a mere two cats. Toby the outdoor stray found a barn home last month, so that leaves just my indoor boys. That's enough, financially and emotionally!
We have two inside kitties, Angel and Kirby. WE have one outside kitty that we are trying to transition inside. We has two outside kitties but could never tame one of them. Now that one comes in the garage at night, we do not see the other as much and it makes us sad because they were always together!
That is good news that no cats were taken by coyotes. I just have my 2 boys now, but back in the 80s when my MIL died I took on her 10 cats who joined my own cat.
Well, at last count it was 7 kitties and one floofy standard poodle=^Y^=

2 at my sea and that is certaintly enough for us, as they don't get along with others haha
So many sweet kitties over here! I only have one kitty but he is 17 lbs so it's like having two kitties. ;)

We have 6 inside + 2 foster kittens on bottles and 1 outside stray that we house.
An update on the shelter - so far a total of 14 cats were lost to the virus. The virus has been kept at bay and so far none has passed since last week. The dogs have gotten the OK to leave the shelter in to foster homes. We had a touch and go with one cat but the vet worked hard and kept him alive. This virus is worse than most of calici virus seen. =(
Proper Cat care which includes cat's health and nutrition is very much essential to keep it healthy.So proper check ups are required for the cats.
We have two cats indoors right now. In the past we've had as many as five inside. Right now, though, this is perfect. Both cats are in good health, they simply love each other, and everything is peaceful.
Outside the story is a little different. We were feeding one female feral who had been spayed (not by us, but apparently by a local spay-and-release group that notched her ear). Things were going well for her, until an un-neutered male showed up and begin claiming the territory as his own. He dominates her and gets to eat first while she cowers nearby. I think it is time to trap him and have him fixed, but whether this will improve his personality is anyone's guess.
