A few of our homeless cats are 5 years old this spring. The one who has bushy-looking beige eyebrows is 7 years old, guessing from what we pieced together as her history from a neighbor. It is sad to me that they look more bedraggled every year - and they seem very wearied of living. We feed them wet and dry food so they are sure of getting more protein. We give them some cooked meat once in a while. But there is so much we cannot do to make their lives better.

Your cats have survived a long time considering the conditions. At one point about five years ago we were feeding four homeless cats here, but only one of them remains. There are so many hazards - cars and coyotes.
